A fly caught in a spider's web...

A fly caught in a spider's web...

Hezbollah is not going to attack Israel, unless Israel strikes first. The same is true of Iran. Israel plays up the so-called "threat" from Iran, to distract world attention from the continuing theft of Palestinian land, water, civil rights and dignity, in the West Bank....

Iran is currently prey to unemployment, mounting inflation rates, the shutdown of institutions and factories, lack of trust internally, and exposed cards externally. This is why Ahmadinejad's rivals criticized his policies and announced his inability to invest oil revenues in the right place and achieve gains for the country.

Oil is an effective weapon which might be politically, economically and socially influential when used as a "soft" power. It becomes further effective when used to build the mind of mankind to achieve stability and sustainable development, especially in a country like Iran, where large segments of society live in "dire" living conditions, as the case is in Al-Ahwaz, where the mullahs' policies deliberately impoverish these areas.

The falling oil prices make it harder for Ahmadinejad to overlook the sanctions imposed by the international community. This will force his country to downplay its hostile and challenging tone with which it faces the world, and lower the ceiling of its demands over its nuclear program.

I often tend to take in the belief of some people that Iran's announcement of the test run of the Bushehr nuclear power plant with non-nuclear fuel is an attempt to speed up negotiations over its nuclear program, so that it can weather the global financial crisis which has started to sicken it, scaring away its citizens.

Every time someone starts to blame Iran for all that is wrong in the Mid-East, it always amazes me the LACK of mention that Israel is the one at the forefront of these conflagrations. It is Israel more than any other country in the mid-east that is creating instability, and with the help of Britain..United States...Canada are among the top supporters. One should question how many business that Iran/Israel share IN Israel, or the fact that Hamas is the child of Israel, funded and trained by them, right up until they won the leadership in a Democratic election. Drop an H Bomb on Mediggio......There is your Armageddon for those who so dearly wish for it, then the rest of us can get on with a truly peaceful world....
